The case of the animation film «Melnitsa» was included in the annual selection of the main law stories in the Intellectual property sphere from Pravo.ru.
Previously in November, the Constitutional Court considered the appeal of the studio of the animation film «Melnitsa» and concluded that the award of compensation below the lower statutory limit could not amount to partial satisfaction of the claim. In such a case, any procedural expenses of the parties should not be apportioned between the plaintiff and the defendant.
